AUSTRALIA’S FIRST ONLINE LECTURES FOR SMEs

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Marc Phillips, from APT Strategies, the internet research company, in association with NetRegistry, has commenced a series of Lectures on Internet Marketing, targeted at Small and Medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

Compliments of NetRegistry, these Lectures are designed to bridge the gap between retailing in the traditional sense and retailing on the Internet. The Lectures will be conducted monthly on the NetRegistry website.

"A survey of 400 customers revealed that, above all else, wanted NetRegistry to assist them in understanding how to market their business on the Internet," says Larry Bloch, Managing Director, NetRegistry. "What's more, our clients felt most advice on Internet Marketing was only relevant to the larger businesses."

The Marc Phillips Lectures will be focussed on discussing issues pertinent to the owners of smaller websites, but of equal importance, recommending solutions to these issues. These solutions may include contact details of recommended suppliers, names, telephone numbers, prices, programming solutions and more.

Netregistry in association with Marc Phillips are providing these programs to assist SME businesses in solving the problems that occur whilst investing in the internet, not to tell them about the problems themselves.

According to Marc Phillips, "Research has shown clearly that the SMEs want practical solutions to online marketing - my lectures are pitched so any business with an online presence can immediately benefit from simple suggestions and online marketing initiatives."

The first Lecture by Marc Phillips discusses 'Promoting your Website'. This Lecture focuses primarily on promoting a website for free. Associated technical tutorials can be accessed that detail lots of information about free utilities including:

Meta Analyser - measures how effective your website is on the search engines
PositionAgent - tells you where your website lies in the search results when you search for words important to your business.


There is also free information about how to force a search engine to return to your website every few weeks and re-index the content, plus surprising news about exactly who are the popular search engines, used by Australians.
